Justification

This species is known from a single locality in Hainan Province, China. Three specimens have been observed at this locality between 2015 and 2016. This species is known to occur on the ground within forests of Lithocarpus spp. with all specimens being recorded within the Yinggeling Nature Reserve. Until further research is carried out regarding the distribution of this species, it is not possible to accurately assess the degree of threat that it faces and so it is listed as Data Deficient.

Geographic range

The type of this species was collected in Hainan Province, China at Yinggeling Nature Reserve, at an altitude of 550m. Two further specimens are known from this same locality (An et al. 2017). No further information regarding this species' distribution appears to be known.

Population and Trends

This species' known locality is thought to be protected, and so it is reasonable to assume that at this site it would be stable. Further information is required as to the full distribution of the species, though, before an accurate assessment of the trend can be made.
