Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

The species is mostly confined to old-growth conifer forests in oceanic parts of the boreal zone. In Europe, it occurs in the oceanic spruce forests of central Norway and in adjacent Sweden; a few sites are known from steep faces of boulders in the alpine zone in northern Norway. Arctic-alpine sites are also known from Greenland.
