The only known specimen of this species was found at Renggam, Johor, Malaysia, at 2 degrees latitude and 103.5 degrees longitude. No further information appears to be known about this collection, however this specimen is preserved by the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre.

The current status of any wild populations of this species cannot be ascertained at this time. Without much further research, it is likely that the current trends of this species will remain uncertain.

The habitat of this species is uncertain. This species could be found within the lowland tropical rainforests of Ranggam, Johor, Malaysia, however without further research this cannot be known for certain.
