Taxonomic notes

Described in 1987 from a single collection, as a new species in a new genus. A very distinctive microfungus, it remains the only species within the genus Tryssglobulus.


Why suggested for a Global Red List Assessment?

A very distinctive microfungus, known only from the type collection, despite further recent searches at the type locality.


Geographic range

Known from only the type locality in the Brisbane Ranges, Victoria, Australia.
