This four-months project aims to have at least 100 species confined to Australasia assessed by the end of July and officially red-listed by IUCN by the end of 2019. The Australasian region includes Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and islands of the Pacific in Oceania. Success will depend on the work of several mycologists to contribute relevant information and be in charge of the assessments. This initiative is supported by IUCN, Mohamed bin Zayed Conservation Fund, and Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research, and facilitated by Tom May and Peter Buchanan. The assessments of the species will be finalized during the workshop July 22-26th by contributing mycologists.
Although poorly known, this relatively recently described species appears to be a very threaten...
Currently 128 species are under evaluation by authorized editors and assessors.
Please note that only species subject to an active evaluation and assessment process should be placed here.
If the activity is low for a longer period of time, the assessor or the administrator should set the status to "Pending".
